Hello Everyone,

Please see the attached Lakeland Today Article “Volunteer Group Focuses on Fish Habitat Restoration in the Northeast” from April 28, 2020: E200428 Lakeland Today IMG_20200501_0001

Our volunteers for the Fish Habitat Restoration Project Committee and the Next Step Team are suggesting that more fish habitat should be restored or developed to increase fishing opportunities for Albertans.  The attached article describes the results of the winter monitoring of fish habitat in 13 waterbodies in NE Alberta. Some of the lakes tested could support fish now.  We are asking the fish managers to implement fish habitat restoration, fish stocking and fish transplanting in the waters that are suitable.

Thanks to the many volunteers that are interested in protecting and increasing fish habitats and fishing opportunities.
