Objective(s) – To ensure the club’s focus and goals are compatible with those of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation and the Alberta Wildlife Federation. To ensure all of the Association’s financial matters are handled accurately, professionally, promptly and consistently. To preside over all meetings of the executive and directors in an efficient and timely manner.

General Duties
- Maintain an accurate and complete file of information to be passed to the next president
- Plan and chair monthly meetings which are held on the last Tuesday of each month excluding July
- Chair the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is held in January
- Take responsibility for the Association’s website and designate a website caretaker
- Maintain frequent contact with the committee heads to supply direction and assistance when needed
- Act as the sole official spokesperson for the LDFGA
- Facilitate introductions of new members / guests at meetings
- Oversee and monitor all communication between the LDFGA and other organizations and individuals

Specific Duties
January
- Prepare agenda and chair the regular monthly / annual meeting
- Prepare the agenda and chair the Association’s annual awards and banquet night
February
- Prepare agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Get volunteers to chair the various standing committees
- Prepare a new executive and director list
- Ensure the new executive and director list is sent to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) and the Alberta Wildlife Federation (AWF) and put on the website
- Book a facility (traditionally the Convention Centre) for next year’s banquet
- Ensure that the LDFGA will be represented at the Saskatchewan and Alberta provincial meetings
March
- Prepare agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Ensure fish have been ordered to stock the Fish and Game ponds
- Ensure students have been chosen to attend the Conservation Camps
April
- Prepare agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Ensure that the LDFGA will be represented at the Saskatchewan and Alberta zone/regional meetings
May
- Prepare agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Encourage the various committee heads to get their outdoor projects started
- Ensure a memo regarding the June BBQ to the membership
- Ensure volunteers are in place to plan and run the June BBQ
June
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting. President to organize President’s BBQ
July

August
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Monitor progress with resolutions to ensure appropriate activity is taking place
September
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Ensure that the selection of the recipients for the Student Scholarships has taken place
- Review resolutions
October
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Ensure that the LDFGA will be represented at the Saskatchewan (SWF) and Alberta (AWF) zone/regional meetings
- Find and book a keynote speaker for the annual banquet
November
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Select the nomination committee for the next executive
- Obtain volunteer chairpersons for the annual banquet committees
- Prepare the yearly letter from the president to be included in the membership mailout
- Review the financial statement that will be presented at the annual AGM meeting
December
- Prepare the agenda and chair the regular monthly meeting
- Ensure the treasurer has the annual financial statement completed (suggested deadline of December 20)
