Old Business:

  1. Dwayne D and Mike H. are working on finishing up the range orientation.
  2. Bylaws update – Carlo is working on it.
  3. Dwayne D. would like to host a GPS Course.
  4. Golf Cart Raffle – Tickets are available to sell. We have paid $5000 towards the golf cart to FTR.
  5. LDFGA Credit Card has arrived in the mail.
  6. Youth council sub-committee. No discussion.
  7. NLCC AGM – No Update.
  8. SWF Golf Tournament on June 17th – Dwayne D., Carlo M., and Garrett Frazer went on behalf of the LDFGA.
  9. Jackie has agreed to organize the parade float again this year, contact Jackie if you would like to help. An email will be sent to ask for help decorating and being in the parade.
  10. AWF Golf Tournament on September 8th. If you would like to attend, please contact Dwayne.

Fundraising – NR

Youth Outdoor Activity Day It was another successful event enjoyed by the kids. Jason Whiting posted about spots available for Sunday which help draw more to attend. We donated $300 to the school division for the use of the bus. Discussion about purchasing new pellet guns for the Indoor Range as most of them are getting worn out. Discussion was tabled to see if brass was collected and paid for by the August meeting.

Conservation CampOne girl applied for Saskatchewan camp and one boy, and one girl have applied for Alberta camp.

Habitat/Gordon Leslie Project/Trout Ponds/Foster Property The West Pond and McDougall Pond were treated with chemical. Bald eagles were installed, and air stones were moved and were operational but not moving much air as they were when they were installed last year. A leak was repaired in one of the aeration lines. Fence wire needs to be installed. Purchased two hundred 7-8” and seventy-five 8-9” trout for the McDougall Pond. Trout have been caught in the West Pond. Push mower will not start; Dwayne will take it in to be tuned up.

Gun and Outdoor Sportsman Show – Janelle painted the gun show signs with the Lloyd Ex location.

Archery Club / Youth Center Archery nights are done for the summer and will resume in the fall.

Banquet NR

Fish Fry – Next year’s Fish Fry is scheduled for April 23, 2026.

Indoor Range Keith B. and Dwayne D. to work on list of active RSO’s and have security keys for the fall. CFO inspection was completed. Baffles will be required in the range, but it can still be used for now. We will be contacted with a deadline to have the baffles installed.

Outdoor RangeCFO inspection has been completed. In preparation for the inspection Keith rebuilt target backstops, Scott worked on clearing the Outdoor Range with Dwayne and Ronda. Outdoor Range needs coordinates posted for emergency services as well as a first aid kit. Rimfire evening will be held on Wednesday nights throughout the summer.
