Black Badge Training
The Black Badge Training Program is a comprehensive course designed to train competitors in the sport of IPSC and equip them with the basic skills necessary to participate in IPSC competitions. The course covers a combination of safety, proficiency, and understanding of the rules, with a focus on safety. It includes both theoretical and practical components, with students spending time learning in a combination of a classroom environment and on the range practicing skills needed for IPSC style competitions. Upon completion, students are qualified IPSC competitors and are entitled to a certificate, a numbered “Black Badge,” and to participate in all sanctioned IPSC events.

Please download and fill out the CSSA Waiver Form and have it ready before the class.
Cost for the 2-day course will be $300, this will include the following;
• 2 days of instruction
• Course Material (Manual & rulebooks)
Requirements to take the course;
• Handgun
• Holster for handgun
• Sturdy belt
• 4 Magazines minimum
• associated magazine pouches
• Safety glasses and ear protection
• 500 rounds of ammunition
• appropriate clothing for the conditions
You will be on the range for 2 days, about 8 hours or more a day. There is a 3-hour IPSC Open Book Exam required to be completed before the course. Learn IPSC Handgun Competition Rules prior to completing the exam.
There is a $100 refundable deposit to reserve a spot that can be EMT’d to ken@p3shooting.ca
*This is a fully refundable deposit if the course is cancelled due to weather; remaining balance will be required before training commences.
As well before you can take the Black Badge course you must join IPSC Alberta as an associate member. Go to IPSC Alberta – Home to join. Cost is $110. This covers you for the first year as an IPSC Alberta member and includes your insurance for the course.

Travel East on Highway 303 for 10.8 km to Range Rd 3265, turn left (north) and drive 2 km to Range Rd 3264A, turn left (north again) and drive 100 m, then turn right (east). Range is located on your left side.
