1. SWF branch inventory questionnaire – Dwayne filling out.

2. Information for the Vermilion Voice for advertising.

3. Reviewed Canada Law 263 – Holes in ice and ground need to be repaired or marked clearly to prevent injury.

Sub-committee to meet in the next couple weeks to discuss new membership system.

Indoor Range – Pistol Club sub-committee still needs to meet.

Septic system quotes range from $5500 – $7000. Still waiting on 2 more quotes. Propane tank will need to be moved. New copper U/G pipe will need to be ran.

Dwayne sent letter to gun shops explaining the membership requirements for both ranges.

Range needs to be open more. RSO’s should setup a schedule.

Outdoor Range – Reid B. – Unlikely that the cement pads will get done this fall.

MOTION by Reid B. to hire company to do the cement work if amount is under $15,000, seconded by Trevor D. TABLED until next meeting pending notification of the membership.

The quote for steel tables is $630 each. Will order one for trial for now.

Signs being shot at. New ones need to be made.

Gate still being propped open. Reid B. will make bracket so gate doesn’t swing open all the way.

Parking lot estimate is $4800; which includes moving dirt, filling with clay and gravel, and posts and chain to put in front of large access gate.

MOTION by Garry C. to do improvements on parking lot, including moving dirt, adding clay and gravel, and putting in posts and chain, to the maximum price of $6000, seconded by Gerry R., carried unanimously.

An outdoor range member had his 9 year old kid shooting a 22 cal rifle unattended at the 25 yard bench while he was shooting at the 200 yard bench. Dwayne D. instructed him that this was unacceptable and that he cannot leave any youth unattended at the range even if they have a family membership, which they did have. Next meet it will be discussed the age in which youth do not have to be supervised at both ranges.

Interest in an IPSC course was expressed to Dwanye D. Dwayne told him to attend the meeting to discuss further. Did not show up.

Reviewed mission statement. We’re not a gun club; we’re a conservation club.

Conservation Camp – NR

Scholarships – 5 applicants this year. We can sponsor 2 kids a year. 2012 and 2013 there were no applicants and 2014 there was only one. Possible to sponsor all 5?

Merchandise – Gwen B. still trying to get a hold of Wayne B. for pricing and details for the merchandise.

Habitat – Kolenosky Habitat Trust property gate has been repaired

Hide Program – Repairs were done to boxes.

Trout Ponds – Table was replaced at McDougall Pond.

Gun and Outdoor Sportsman Show – Dwayne D. drafted up a letter for the unruly exhibitor.

Date for show: January 23-24, 2016. Hours remain same as last year: Sat 10-6 and Sun 10-3. Entrance fee $10.

Archery Club / Youth Center – Slow for hunting season. Registration for kids programs start soon.

Travis Skinner placed 24th and Corey Skinner placed 33rd or 34th at the World’s Traditional Archery Shoot in Italy.

Gordon Leslie Project – NR

Banquet – January 30, 2016. Dwayne D. looking into getting alligator meat for one of the main course meats. Need approx. 80 lbs at about $20/lbs.

1. Primitive weapons zone – Reviewed proposal. Need to get info out to members and residents as to getting feedback on all parties involved. Interested parties include: acreage and land owners, conservation offices, industrial acreage owners, municipalities. Will not have time to bring to fall regional and zone meetings.

2. Panic doors need to be installed.

3. Facebook page started in 2014 by an unknown person still needs to be taken down.

4. No response from Maidstone RCMP in regards to memberships.

3. Region 2 SK fall meeting is in Unity on October 18. Garry C. and Dwayne D. might attended. There will be an election for the Regional Director. Dwayne D. will do up a branch report for this meeting.

4. Zone 5 AB fall meeting October 24? AB Convention in Edmonton February 18-20, 2016.
