Indoor Range RSO meeting had a good turnout. Discussed setting a schedule for RSO’s to open range. Discussed bathroom progress. Waiting on building permit. RSO’s decided on not having an age restriction in indoor range. The parent or guardian needs to be directly supervising their youth and not shooting at the same time.

Discussed Indoor Range bank account and how the structure is set up with the various ranges and membership. LDFGA is one entity; one bank account. Everything goes in and out of that account. Anything moving through that account is coded as to where it goes. As of right now, Membership money for the Indoor Range goes into the main chequing account, then needs to be transferred over to the Pistol Club Savings Account. Pistol Club isn’t an actual Club; there is no executive. Any large expenditures go through LDFGA members, not Pistol Club.

Discussed Target Retrieval System. Has a toggle switch to move target forward and backward, 8 lanes. It will enhance safety as members will not need to go down range to change target. Allows members to shoot at their desired distance. The cost is about $26,784.40 American. Construction assessment is needed for hanging system. We already have the money to cover all the costs. There is sponsorship interest.

MOTION by Corey B. to spend up to $50,000 Canadian pending structural assessment, seconded by Curtis Paterson, tabled pending notification of the membership.

Discussed possibility to have a family membership for Indoor Range.

MOTION by Curtis P., seconded to Garry C. to set up a family membership for Indoor Range, tabled until next meeting.

Outdoor Range Gate needs to be checked if latched; sometimes it doesn’t lock.
