Dwayne D. called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm at the GUC and via Zoom hybrid.

Minutes: Presented minutes from GUC/Zoom hybrid meeting January 6, 2026.
MOTION by Bill A., to adopt the minutes from January 6th as presented, seconded by Keith B., carried.

Financial Report: MOTION by Larry C. to adopt financial report, seconded Daniel A., carried.

Correspondence: CWD collection cut-off was January 20. This year there were 29 heads dropped off. In 2024 there were
9 heads and in 2023 there were 21 heads collected at our kiosk.

Old Business:

1. Dwayne D sent out draft copy of Range Orientation built with Mike H prior to Nov. 25th meeting. Comments back
from executive board are to be made by Dwayne and brought back to the board.
2. Bylaws update – Carlo still making progress on it.
3. Dwayne D. would like to host a GPS Course.
4. Golf Car Raffle – Draw will be made at the banquet with Garrett Fraser from FTR will be there to congratulate the
winner and we will supply him with complimentary tickets. There are only a few partial books left to sell.
5. First Aid Kits are at the Indoor Range. Keith is building a cabinet for the first aid kit for the outdoor range.
6. Camp Hoo-Ha update. Janelle will host an indoor range event for Camp Hoo-Ha which is a women’s
empowerment group to learn new skills and have fun. It will be on Saturday Feb. 7, 3:00 – 5:00pm with Janelle,
Keith, Fiona and Marissa. Keith may bring a few extras to help with the event. 32 participants maximum
attendance. An email will be sent out with event info and to get more volunteers.
7. 2026 Budget – will be reviewed after gun show and banquet wind up meetings.

New Business:
1. Sask. Convention is Feb. 12, 13 & 14, Dwayne D., Larry C., Garry C., and Norris Edwards will be attending.
Bill A. will be attending to receive Gordon Lund Memorial Award from the SWF. Bill was nominated by Fiona M.
The LDFGA BOD approved the nomination of Bill.
2. Alberta Convention is Feb. 19, 20, and 21. Dwayne D. will be attending.
3. Discussion of night vision and infrared scopes and spotting scopes being used. Many good uses but gives the
potential to be used for unethical purposes.
4. Discussion of Saskatchewan CFO offering to store banned guns. May have more info from the Sask CFO coming.
5. Keith would like to host a Black Badge course, possibly early spring.

Committee Reports:

Memberships – 723 LDFGA, 308 Outdoor, 143 Indoor. Keep the website updated and continue posting on social media
to advertise purchasing our membership.

Fundraising – NR

Youth Outdoor Activity Day – This year’s event will be June 20 & 21, 2026. Bill A. has purchased eight dozen compasses
for the kids who attend this year.

Conservation Camp – The three campers that attended the Sask and Alberta camp in 2025 will be at the banquet. We
have two spots for Alberta NLCC camp. The Sask camp application date is coming up on February 1.
Scholarships – Jordan Rokosh-Brick will be at the banquet, but Alex Patterson is not able to attend.

Merchandise – NR

Habitat/Gordon Leslie Project/Trout Ponds/Foster Property – Stewardship for the AWF/ACA Gordon Leslie area is open
if anyone is interested. Darrell P. and Dwayne D. will look into more water testing at McDougall Pond. Dwayne D. has put
in a request to use the oxygen meter. The aeration unit is working good now. Dwayne D. found a local farmer, who will
donate barely straw bales to use in McDougall Pond to attempt to reduce algae. We will need to work on install &
removal application of the bales.

Trophies – The trophies will be ready for pick up from Trophy Gallery on Friday. Tyler W. volunteered to pick them up.
There are 29 plaques, and the invoice has been paid for.

Gun and Outdoor Sportsman Show – The vendors were happy with sales at the gun show although attendance was not
as high as previous years. Overall, the reviews from the vendors were positive. Thank you to the all the volunteers who
helped put this event on. Security and Prophet River have not been paid yet. Wind up meeting will be determined later
by Janelle.
Archery Club / Youth Center – Regular open archery nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. JOP
program and mail match program on now as well.

Banquet – Banquet will be January 31st, 2026. Darrell, Larry, Jackie, Daniel, Ian, Tyler, Carlo, and Keith volunteered for
Friday night prep. Tyler’s wife Erica will help with heads and tails. We need a volunteer to help cook fish. Jackie, Sherry,
Darrell, Dwayne, and Logan will help with set up Saturday at 1:00pm. Brian and Marissa will do tickets at the front door.
An email was sent to the membership asking for help with the raffle tables and meat donations for making jerky which
there was fifty pounds of meat donated. The liquor permit is submitted and paid. There are 344 tickets including
complimentary before the cancellation of Alex Patterson. A wind up meeting will be held later.

Fish Fry – This year’s event will be Thursday April 23, 2026.
Indoor Range – A group of ladies by the name of “Camp Hoo-Ha” contacted Janelle and would like to host an event at
the indoor range February 7th. Janelle will send info out for this event. There have been a few openings recently by
RSO’s. The furnace has been repaired. We could get a new gauge to check the propane tank with an app on a cell phone.

Outdoor Range – No report back from CFO inspection. Signs need to be put up with land coordinates. Dwayne has found
reports within the fob system which we can utilize to confirm accuracy of fobs assigned to members. The coyote target
has fallen and needs a plan to be rebuilt.
